Now and Beyond: Young Voices Leading the Conversation

Inspiring youth mental health activists are the soul of the charity and make up Beyond’s youth board. These 30+ campaigners co-produce everything that Beyond does, ensuring that youth voices are at the heart of the charity’s activities. This session explores the youth mental health landscape through the eyes of some of these youth board members. From suicide, OCD, psychosis, schizophrenia or borderline personality disorder to depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, neurodiversity and a spectrum of other mental health challenges, they draw strength from each other and turn it into powerful campaign work. From championing mental health days in schools to reframing the way the UK addresses grief education, the youth board are constantly challenging the status quo of youth mental health in the UK.
